CONCERNED MEMBERS UNITED

CONCERNED MEMBERS OF NASW ARE UNITED TO MAINTAIN THE

DEMOCRATIC STRUCTURE OF OUR ASSOCIATION.

WE SEEK TO UPHOLD THE AUTHORITY OF THE DELEGATE ASSEMBLY, THE VOICE OF MEMBERSHIP, AS THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY IN PROTECTING THE BYLAWS ESTABLISHED AT OUR INCORPORATION

‚ÄčLEGAL FUND

We are a growing volunteer coalition of concerned NASW members.

Your donations will help pay for our legal representation.

On July 6, we learned that the national board voted to change our articles of incorporation to grant them sole authority over all decisions for our association!

Six people now control for over 130,000 members. That's one non-voting CEO and a quorum of five. We are told that it is NOT for us to decide the future path of our association.

The delegate assembly's power HAS BEEN removed, the members' vote HAS BEEN removed and chapter boards no longer have any power. They are now merely advisory.

As of June 28, 2016, TEN NASW Chapters Voted NO CONFIDENCE in National's "modernization" plan and its implementation. Those chapters are: MA, MN, MS, NYC, MI, NC, IN, OH, KS, and AR

On August 8th we held our Town Hall Meeting for Members on NASW

Governance: Democracy, Accountability and Integrity.

We offer you a recording of the entire TOWN HALL MEETING. CLICK HERE

The Power Point we used is
available here for your review. Additionally, there was a lot of shared knowledge and thought-provoking questions from attending members That we will post onto this website by August 22nd.

Please sign the MoveOn  online petition to call for a special membership meeting to reinstate chapter and delegate assembly  authority into the bylaws. Please sign petition then forward this petition to other NASW members.

There are two options for donations, PayPal and direct mail-in, both can be accessed below. Donations will be used to directly pay for outstanding legal fees with Venable LLP and the videoconferencing website.

If you would like to join these calls, it is recommended that you add your name to the listserve on this website and/or email us.
